Julie Eizenberg

Koning Eizenberg Architecture

I first met Julie at her office in Los Angeles in 2003 when I was travelling on a Churchill Fellowship, researching Sustainable and Affordable Housing. She was a generous host who freely shared her knowledge about designing and building social housing in LA. In 2016 I was lucky to meet her again at the AIA National Conference in Adelaide, where I interviewed her for Steel Profile magazine. She reflected on her immigrants roots, her father's adoption of 'Australian' habits, and the way his 'larrikin' spirit permeates her work in the USA. You can read the story here
